Bolts right up!

Posted on 10/15/2009 by David A. (Irving,TX)

"Works for 2006 Toyota RAV4 as indicated. 4 bolts, no problems, other than a little prying to get the bolt holes to line up. Packaging could have been better, as the hitch beat it to death since wasn't anything holding it in place in the box."

Great hitch, good fit on vehicle, wrong bolts, muffler rattles

Posted on 10/10/2009 by Logan P. - 2004 Mazda MPV (Kaysville,,UT)

"The hitch fit perfectly and the install was straight forward once proper fasteners were obtained. Two of the provided fasteners were the wrong size for the factory mounting location. Went to dealership, hardware store, and fastener store and was unable to find the very specialized missing bolts. Ultimately had to tap out the frame to get a bolt that would work. Additionally on the Mazda MPV the muffler rattles against the hitch, making it sound like the van is falling apart as it runs down the road. My kid's bouncy ball cut in half and glued to the hitch next to the muffler solved the rattle problem. So far so good once the install was complete. I'd buy it again, just know the provided hardware doesn't work."

Installation Problem

Posted on 10/06/2009 by Rita S. - 2009 Subaru Impreza (Broomfield,CO)

"The instructions and hardware do not fit the Subaru Impreza. I had to purchase longer screws and install the the hitch going through the trunk. The entire installation took 3 hours! Not the 20 min. that was promised."

Millimeters make a difference

Posted on 09/28/2009 by Damon G. - 2000 Isuzu Trooper (Kihei,HI)

"All the no drill holes lined up and the bolts fit...except one! Forty minutes of frustration later I had to drop it back to the ground and sledge hammer a welded tab that was a few millimeters off. Then it took less than ten minutes to install and it looks and performs great."

Didn't fit...

Posted on 09/23/2009 by Kacie M. - 2008 Nissan Rogue (Rolla,MO)

0 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"I have a 2008 Nissan Rogue, and it wasn't as simple as just bolting it onto the frame. It was off by about 1-2mm, or just enough to be very frustrating. I had to dremel out the holes to "make" it fit. Other than that, just be aware of where this hitch hits in relation to the bumper. I bought the LUND do-it-yourself cargo hitch and where the hitch and receiver meet, the holes to build on the hitch are at the bumper, because the bumper of the Rogue sticks out a lot farter than the receiver. Just something to be aware of!"

2006 Chrysler Town & Country Trailer Hitch

Posted on 09/20/2009 by Darla R. - 2006 Chrysler Town and Country (Lewistown,PA)

7 of 8 people found the following review helpful.

"The hitch arrived a few days after I ordered it. The hitch looks good and was well made with only a few marks on the paint, nothing major. With a little touch-up paint it was perfect. I install the hitch by myself in 40 minutes. It would have been a 20 minute had I waited for help to get it up into place. The bolt holes line up perfectly. It was as simple as removing four bolts on each side, put the hitch up into place and replace the bolts and you are done. I am very pleased with the hitch and feel it was well worth the money paid."
