We had this exact same module installed on our car when new in 2000. After pulling many trailers, it finally quit when I was backing a jet ski into the lake in 2007. (Trailer shorted it out). Car has 160K miles now. It did it's job of protecting the cars circuits as nothing stopped working on the car. I purchased another module and installed it in about 30 minutes. Works Great!

This has to be the easiest way ever to wire in a trailer connector. The only problem was figuring out how to unlatch the taillight electrical connector from the bracket on the housing, because with the connector latched in place there isn't clearance for the T-connector. It probably took me twenty minutes, total, to install the harness, and half of that was figuring out how to get the taillight connectors unlatched from the housings.
