I have a 8" hitch extension for my 2" aftermarket hitch, and it wobbled way too much. This hitch pin solved it immediately, secure and tight with no more wobble. And it only took a minute to install with very easy; clear instructions. Highly recommended!

It was very easy to install but the thread area should be smooth instead have it thread the nut in. The lock pin should comes in other color such as silvers. It was too early to rate for the lock how it function in the long run for corrosive.

I was told that this pin fit a Yakima...it doesn't until you remove the Yakima core, which took about 40 seconds. Put the Softride core in and set it up. Easy even for a senior lady. No rattle at all when my bike was on the rack. Fabulous.

I purchas d 2 of these to reduce movement between receiver, hitch extension and cargo carrier. Easy to install and work great. Since I purchased 2 I wish they had the same key.

Well thought-out design. While this isn't necessary for some receivers due to tighter tolerances, the noise from the bar shifting in the receiver on one of my vehicles was unbearable. This resolves that problem completely. I'll be using this for all of the towing I'll do in the future.

I had the previous generation of this hitch pin and really liked it. But, I managed to lose the lock due to my failure to check that the locking part was indeed locked. Unfortunately Softride doesn't sell just the lock. So, I bought a new Softride locking hitch pin. The one I bought is a newer generation than the one I had previously, and it's a better product. The newer generation has a better lock, a little longer length for easier locking, and the lock itself is a little bigger.
