For the hitch I bought for the truck I have, I found the installation to be more efficient without removing the bumper, though I did have to use light strong cables to move it into place to get the first bolts in. I also, though I did as instructions showed, by stacking two flat washers with a lock washer, when to me it would have made more since to have one flat washer on each side and the lock wash adjacent to the bolt.

HOWEVER! There is no way I could buy the materials for the Curt hitch design I just bought for what I paid at Auto Anything INCLUDING UPS SHIPPING TO HAWAII! When I first looked at the problem of direct coupling to the frame I panicked. Go commercial was the obvious choice and Curt made exactly what I needed. The step bumper is low and the hitch must hug it closely. The Curt does that.

Good directions. Easy job with air tools, I would not want to bust old bumper bolts by hand. Directions say 45min, took me 2 hours. I dont see how anyone can do it that fast.

Great price, it went in so easy, only took 10 min. The wiring was two snaps and it was done. I am glad I got it at Auto Anything. THANKS
