CURT Receiver Hitches Part #121103 Customer Reviews

The hitch arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It was very easy to install; however, I think the hitch design was in error. The hitch has three mounting holes on the driver side of the car and two mounting holes on the passenger side of the car. When I got under my 2008 Toyota Solara there were only two holes on the frame of the driver side of the car to mount the hitch. There were three holes on the frame of the passenger side of the car. It seems that if the two mounting brackets were exchanged everything would fit perfectly. In short I was not able to use all five mounting holes on the hitch frame. I could only use the four that matched the frame of my Toyota Solara. Being that I'm only planning on towing a gross weight of 450 pounds trailer and boat occasionally, I feel that the hitch mounted with only four of the five bolts will suffice. Curt should look into this design error. Perhaps earlier model Toyota Solara's bolt pattern would have fit the hitch frame correctly.
