I have bought a few trailer hitches from auto anything now (all Curt) and the pint on all 3 has began to rust. The 4runners hitch being the worst. They have all started rusting with in less than half a year. I expected more from a leading company. The rust is forming from underneath the paint, not due to exposed unprotected metal. It's frustrating to see it and have to address it so soon.

The instructions were clear and complete. The installation was straight forward but required 2 people to match the predrilled holes due minor distortion in the wings. Over all the hitch seems to be a well made and good value.

It was not a plug and play like I thought. The packaging system does not provide adequate protection and one arm was slightly bended causing the holes not to match the car tapped holes. I had to use the car jack and force the arm to align to the car tapped holes. This could have been prevented if the packaging system has better product protection.

I received the hitch one day after ordering it. It fit perfectly and was installed in less than an hour. It looks good on my vehicle and I am very satisfied with the price. I am very happy with this purchase.

I installed this hitch, by myself, on our 2009 Highlander. An extra set of hands holding it up while I started the bolts would have helped, but using a milk crate and my foot I was able to maneuver it into place. No problems with the holes lining up, like some folks have experienced. Maybe Curt has improved their quality control or made changes to the hitch. I also chose to trim and reinstall the factory plastic panels that you have to remove during install. Total install time was about 30 mins.
