CURT Receiver Hitches Part #13538 Customer Reviews
Reviewed by Stan K (MILTON, WI) — Nov 08, 2016 8:31 AM
The overall quality and thought given the installation was great. We found that the 2" receiver opening had excessive play which presents a lot of noise when we're towing!

This is the second Curt hitch that I have purchased. They are very well made and both installations were right on, no tweeking needed, they just bolt right up. Thanks for making a great product.

Needed a receiver so I could load my Thule bike carrier. Checked around but AutoAnything had the best prices plus a free cover. Easy purchase & hitch arrived in a couple of days. Installation was as described on website, luckily no cutting was needed. 2 persons make it easier but can be done by one, if you improvise and hold up hitch by using a floor jack while installing the bolts. Clean out threads in the frame prior, used a small bottle brush.

Good quality hitch at a good price. The only problem was that I was unable to install the hitch myself because the hitch did not come with the proper bolts to mount it on my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe (the bolts provided were too big for my car). Once installed, the hitch looks great.

I was able to install this hitch in @45 minutes by myself. I did use a pair of "ramps" to get the back of the car high enough to work underneath and I used a jack and some blocks of wood to help position and hold the hitch. A torque wrench is called for in the installation instructions but I happen to have one so-no problem. End product is excellent.

I researched receiver hitches thoroughly before making the decision to buy. I was swayed by the price as well the on line mounting instructions. I didn't really believe it would be that easy, but it was. it took my sons and I about 15 minutes to get it mounted. I was very pleased with quality of the welds and also the finish. Incredibly fast shipping. I realize that it had to do with how close we were, it came from Washington and I live in Oregon. I ordered it Thursday, got it Saturday.
