Bought this hitch for our 2010 Honda Insight. Installed it myself (age 70, not particularly handy but not willing to pay big bucks for someone else to do it). Did a bit of trimming on the driver side splash shield, none on the passenger side. The job took me about 3 hours. If I were to install another one, it'd take less than a hour. I went slow and careful as I did not want to screw it up. Used a torque wrench. We plan to use the hitch for a small cargo carrier, not for towing anything.

Makes you first scratch your head how to get bolt and washer in place, but in actuallity assembly worked excellent. I wished there would be a light-duty aluminum hitch version. Seems I need to design this one myself.

The hitch I ordered for my daughter's Insight for a bike rack, arrived promptly, fit perfectly, and installed easily with the help of very clear instructions.
