I got a quote to install just a hitch on my 2014 Ford. I bought this hitch and installed it myself in about 45 min. for a lot less than half the quote. (Youtube video was very helpful) It fit & looks great. It looks and feels very well made. I have no doubt it will out last my car. I have use the hitch for everything from my bike rack to a trailer that I can load to 3000 lb with no problems.

I had U-Haul install it and they were done in about 30 minutes. The only problem they had was wiring the kid (probably 20) not only wired it wrong but drilled a hole to mount a ground screw through the side of my car. I had to have Ford Dealership fix the mistake and now going to a body shop for $1300 to fix U-hauls mistake. They are paying but its not the point, hire experienced employees.

Order my Curt Hitch and 4 way wiring harness and it arrived in three days using standard Free shipping. The Hitch bolted on easily without any problems. Used a small hydraulic jack to help hold it up when bolting in on to the frame. Wiring the harness for the tail lights was easy. I was worried because this was the first time I ran a wire from the back of the car to the battery in front. Used the videos from etrailer as an installation guide for both the hitch and 4 way wiring harness!

This hitch is heavy duty and seems well made. Since the Taurus is so wide it will take 2 people to install. Trying to do it myself I accidentally pushed one of the bolts back in the hole. Then I had to fish it back out with a small magnet and back in again. Just one hour install, not to bad with all my extra fishing. Also I only unhooked the exhaust at the end and not the hook further up toward the middle of the car.
