Volvo xc70 hitch

Worked great. One person install. 1/2 hour after looking at what needed to be done. Only downside was that I bought a combo with the draw bar. The bar did not extend out far enough to get past the bumper. I had to buy one local, and due to it being special, it was an extra $40. So that ate up a little of my cost savings, but still well worth it.

Bolt Ons

After installing a rear and front hitch on a Ford E350 this thing was a welcome reprieve. All of the instructions for any hitch say something like, "installs in 20-30 minutes" Maybe by an Indy 500 Hitch Crew, but no, not really. This thing bolted right into the existing welded in nuts (thanks Volvo for once) and I actually had it installed in 30 minutes. No jack, just a headlamp and a socket set.

It was a clean and quick installation with great directions. The hitch is well made and a bonus that it's made in the USA. I'd buy another Curt hitch in a heartbeat.

Incredible Product - Simple Volvo S60 Install

My only regret with this product is that I didn't put it on years earlier. The installation process was simple. Remove two bolts on left and right rear portion of my Volvo S60T 2005, using a torque wrench. Then I used a small flower pot, which I put upside down, to hold hold the muffler from falling. Next, holding up the Curt Hitch (you'll need a helper), I secured 3 bolts on each side (one loose bolt on each side is enough to make you independent again). Next, tighten each bolt - I didn't own a proper torque wrench so I think I over tightened one bolt but the others seemed good. I used some lithium grease from my grease gun. I purchased the Hitch with the 2" Euro Ball, which was easy to attach with the complementary pin lock. I didn't really trust the manufacture lock, although I'm sure it would work fine. This was an incredible value considering the world of options that are available to you once installed. Our local Home Depot will only allow me to rent a log splitter with a 2" ball tow, which is why I got this. I'm not sure if I'm going to bother getting the electric portion completed, but overall I couldn't be happier with a product that looks bullet proof and was so simple to install that even a novice like myself was able to do with their wife temporarily holding up the hitch. One caveat was that the muffler support had to be cut with a pair of large wire clips, not a big deal, since when you re-bolt the part it's better supported then before. Overall, Strongly Recommend this manufactures product.
