CURT Receiver Hitches Part #11000 Customer Reviews

I attached this to my 2013 VW Golf. The product went on easy enough with a car jack and some help. Luckily we had all the necessary tools. I used it to tow a small trailer from Georgia to Vermont and made it with no problems. I would highly recommend it for light towing. Not sure how well it would work if you wanted to do more serious towing but you should probably have a more serious car for that.

The hitch arrived fast. Nicely packaged though with a deep bruise at one spot that it suffered most likely before it was put in the box. No problem - I should be able to paint over since it needs painting anyway - the original paint won't last long on parts located under the body. Installation was easy, the manual is very clear on that part. Overall a very nice product and hopefully sturdy and durable enough.

The ordering process and delivery of the Curt hitch was easy and speedy and installation was generally simple. The one issue was an interference with the exhaust that was unacceptable from a noise standpoint. The solution was to install 3) half inch washers under each mounting point which lowered the hitch about 3/8 inch and provided enough clearance. This is a design or manufacturing problem, unexpected but pretty easy to fix. Nice product and now happy with the results.

Very easy to install on my Golf. All parts included, and the holes on the hitch matched the holes on the vehicle frame.

2012 VW Golf 2.5: Easy to install once you break loose the two bolts that are already on the car. Also tricky is the first time you have to snake through the bolts that go into the two other holes. Put the wire on the bolt, slide on rectangular piece, throw them both up into the hole with the wire attached, and then pull the whole lot back down through the hole. 10-20 minutes installation and it looks good and solid.

I really liked the way this hitched looked with its round tube frame. It really is a nice addition to my VW Golf! I bought it for a hitch mounted bike rack and it works wonderfully. The installation was very simple once we had all the right tools.

Wow I didn't believe the 15-30 min. install time list, but hardware is simple to use. Completed in 20 min. with no lift. Great product very solid and easy to install. Highly recommend.
