CURT Receiver Hitches Part #11266 Customer Reviews

This order arrived the next day. It was fast and easy to handle. Trying to determine which hitch I wanted was easy with the pictures and descriptions. Knowing which one fit my car eliminated the need to search. I wish more retailers offered this type of service.

The trailer hitch would have been easier to install, but Toyota slightly overlapped the frame over the threads on one installation hole. The appearance is good, except the chipped paint on one side of hitch(see photo), but a little undercoating spray will take care of it. This came from the factory that way. Quality control must have been sleeping that day. I like the construction of the hitch and its sleek look.

It took me longer to clean the undercoating out of the threaded holes in my frame than the installation of hitch. I went to my local hardware store and bought a wire brush used for cleaning out 1/2" copper pipes before soldering. The only thing negative I could say about the hitch is it sets to far back under the bumper for the bike carrier I wanted. The carrier rubber the bumper so I had to go with a cheaper one that is flimsy and bobs around when I corner or hit bumps.

Installed hitch on my Toyota Corolla. Working fine so far. Using it with a Thule Raceway trunk without any issues. The only thing I notice while driving is the extra weight of the hitch (obviously), but is minimal.
