The hitch was very easy to install on my 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback. Instructions are detailed, and you can probably install this easily by yourself, but an extra set of hands would definitely help. It is tucked away nicely once installed, so looks nice as well.Very happy with it. The shipping portion was a headache, as the first one sent was heavily damaged, but they are drop shipped from the manufacturer, so that is not Auto Anythings fault. Very helpful getting another sent.

Comes as advertised

It was pretty simple to self install, had all the parts I needed included (except for a drill - understandable why that wasn't included :) ), the instructions were specific to my car... It was great! Already have my bike rack on it and took a long road trip, no issues.

Curt hitch on a Mazda 3

The hitch works great, once it is installed. I tried to do it myself, but that is near impossible. The directions say 20-60 minutes depending on skill level. Just open up 4 holes in the frame, the directions say. After working on one hole for an hour and getting no where I gave up. I took it to a professional installer and it took them an hour to get the hitch installed. The ease of installation is deceiving. But I love the hitch!

I will primarily use the hitch for a bike carrier. Pretty easy diy install although I had to get help to hold the unit up to get the first bolt in. Downloaded the install instructions and enlarged the bolt holes in advance. Happy with the unit and install.
