CURT Receiver Hitches Part #13073 Customer Reviews
Reviewed by Carl S (Greenville, NC) Reviewed for a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe — Nov 08, 2016 3:17 AM
Like the other Curt hitches I use, the construction is of the highest quality. Some difficulty encountered around the muffler heat shield during installation.

I Don't usually write reviews but I must say its awesome and you won't be disappointed!!! From the price to delivery to the installation and even the tips online on how to install this is with out a doubt one of my best purchase experiences ever!!! I've already started bragging on CURT and you will too... The online installation were spot on, and if you follow them it will be a breeze. Give yourself 1.5-2.0 hrs and a helper and a set of ramps makes it even easier!!!

The hitch is of good quality with heavy steel, solid welds and a heavy coat of paint. Installation instructions were easy to follow but the existing threaded weld holes on my vehicle were covered over with paint and I had to tap them out to install the bolts.

Shipping was fast. Even though the package was torn a little, the receiver was not damaged. It took me several days to complete the project but I was not in a hurry and most of delays were caused by lack of proper tools. It was not hard though. I had its first field test - rented 5x8 trailer from u-haul and loaded it with over 2000 pounds. Worked well.

Instructions stated 2 people may be required, however managed to install it on my own. It fits nice and tight against the rear valance on my 2010 Santa Fe so very little of the structure is seen. Nice powder coat finish. Packaging could have been better as the hitch had some scratches on it. Had to touch it up with paint.

Installed the Curt Hitch on my 2011 Kia Sorento SX. Installation is not too difficult, instruction is simple to follow (missing few details on how to completely remove the exhaust, torque value, better photo & visual instruction would be more helpful). Have been using it for a week now to tow PWC trailer and seems to work well. Don't forget to buy T-connector 4-wire cable & ball mount assembly before you can start towing
