We followed the directions, which were clear and easy to follow, and they went on 'without a hitch'! The time it takes to install was a good estimate and very accurate. The only issue to follow up on once you have the hitch on, is the wiring for brake lights/ turn signals. Our cars were both foreign made, and so we had to take to the dealership to have the wiring completed.

Ordered this hitch because the dealer wanted about 15 times the price to install one. The direction were nice with actual photos and steps. My 2016 BMW X3 had a plastic rail under the bumper cover that needed to be trimmed, but not that big of a deal. All in all, the process was straight forward and the results are outstanding. The wife says it looks like it came that way!

The hitch fit perfectly on my 2014 BMW X3, but the installation process took me about 3 1/2 hours. Instructions were pretty complete, except they did not cover the removal and re-installation of the parking assist wiring in the rear bumper. If you are experienced and take your time, go ahead and tackle the installation yourself, otherwise have a mechanic perform the installation.

BMW wanted big bucks for a hitch and installation so I decided to do some research. I had my body shop installed the Curt hitch and I saved over $1000.00. Thanks to Autoanything for the hitch and bike rack. Ready to go riding next week!
