I bought this for my Subaru Crosstrek to fix my 'storage' problem. In short, I love the car but it doesn't always have enough room for my stuff. This unit, combined with one of the baskets that slip into the hitch gives me plenty of extra room inside for important things and room outside for less critical ones. I had to have it installed, but that took way less than an hour. The unit had to have 2 bolt holes enlarged slightly but otherwise bolted right up.

This is the second curt hitch I've purchased within a year and put on new subaru vehicles on a forester and a crosstrek .they both were very easy to install with the step by step instructions and the great spring wire bolt pull wires . They look as well as they work on the vehicles as well as saving me hundreds of dollars from a dealer .

The parts that are bit of work is making the port holes bigger for the mount and once you have set your drop bolts to carefully raise the hitch into position. I had a flat jack but I still needed it help to raise it slowly to make sure I did not push the bolts back into the frame. I never had to drop the exhaust like in the video.
