Perfect fit, direct bolt on with ease. Everything comes complete in the installation kit including plastic rivets. Product seem to be much more heavier duty than the 2,500 lbs gross load rating. I haven't taken it out for a tow but close inspection indicate all welds are in top quality.

The cost of the Hitch and having it installed properly total almost $500 plus, for three hours labor, cost of hitch, by professional mechanic. It was not a simple bolt on install on my 2013 BMW X1.

Installation was very straight forward and took about 40 minutes. Hitch looks great although I have not actually used it to tow anything yet

The hitch arrived quickly but there wasn't any packing in the box and while sliding around had destroyed the box. Luckily no damage to the hitch. The install was as expected with very tight spaces to work with. The only thing I didn't like was that the hitch was not in the center of the bumper but off to the left. There wasn't any room in the mounting slots to center it.

The hitch was a perfect fit. In fact it was so perfect it was slightly a challenge to get it installed. However, once installed, it tucked neatly away from all the frame parts and looks like a factory installed unit.

While the trailer hitch is great, the instructions to install it could have been way better. There are three parts to the rear bumper but it doesn't tell you how many have to be removed (I had to remove two of them. The photos in the instructions are so dark and small (and there could be more) that it was very hard to follow. The 30 minute project took 2.5 hours and I'm fairly mechanical just installed hitches on two other cars.

I have bought several Curt receiver hitches and have been very happy with fit and finish. This hitch was for a 2013 BMW X1 some say you need to lower the exhaust not true in my case just take your time and the right angle it will go in just fine.

I have installed several Curt hitches and the fit and quality always was good. This installation was a challenge but due to the limited space on the vehicle. Instructions were clear.

I purchased this hitch because it is the only one for the X1 on the market now, and only recently came out. The M sport ended up being slightly different than the install instructions described, but it was still straight forward enough to figure out based on the materials provided. The hitch is well built and has a nice finish. It clears all of the factory equipment including the exhaust valve. Would highly recommend for the price.
