Follow the supplied instructions and everything should go smoothly. It's more of a two man job, but I installed mine myself. Note, that instead of grinding out the 2 holes to fish the carriage bolts and flanges through, I used a step drill.

great looking hitch, good quality. A bit of drilling needed to enlarge holes in the frame to fish b lots through. Use a grinder bit on a drill and you should be able to make oblong hole that you then fishwife the bowls and backing plates through. Once you get the idea of how the hitch gets attached it is pretty straight forward.

The Curt receiver was very easy to install and directions were easy to follow. The design and material of this hitch is outstanding. I would tell anyone to order and install yourself at a fraction of the cost of having dealer installing one. Thanks!!!

Looks great. Install was easy except for getting the bolts itn. Need the right tools to do it and I didn't have them. Was able to get by with a grinder and a dremmel tool. Not ideal.

Followed the instruction for installation but, did make changes to the instructions. Was told to just remove the hangers and let the muffler hang with support. It was much easier to remove the two bolts and remove the muffler. Also was instructed to remove the heat shield. Not wanting to go without the shield I customized the shield and was able to reinstall it to the original mount with original fasteners. As for the electrical hook up the instructions were for a 2015 not my 2016 Forester.

I just completed the installation of this hitch on my 2015 Subaru Forester. Although the instructions offered a one hour install time, I took my time and completed it in 2 1/2 hours. Everything fit extremely well and the end result looks great. It works great with my new Yakima FullSwing bike rack. My only complaint was that there were only 4 fish wires; not the 6 there should have been, but I made it work. I'm very pleased with the product!
