On my Mazda3 I had help. After looking at the "release muffler hanger" part I said not going to happen. Put the bolts and washer in and then man handled the hitch into proper position, drew the fish wires down, three clicks of the elbow and done. The wiring was another story because I couldn't get the right color code even from the dealer. Motorcycle didn't cover the car tail lights so went without right turn signanl.

The hitch came quickly. Installation required taking off the dual muffler hangers. Supporting the exhaust pipe is important. Overall it is a clean install.

I like this curt hitch for my Mazda 3, installation was straightforward though it helped to watch a curt installation video first to understand the fishwire technique. Most difficult part was lowering my exhaust. Overall, the hitch works well for a small car

Installation was quick and easy with no drilling, just 4 bolts and a little trimming of the plastic bumper cover on the underside where it doesn't show. It would have been nicer if the bar could be hidden, but that doesn't seem to be possible on a Mazda3.

The CURT recever hitch is a solid, sharp-looking piece of gear. I didn't install it but the guys at Rod's said it went on easy. They had to make 2 small notches in a piece of plastic under my bumper. It holds the bike rack we bought it for. Excellent overall.

This is the second time I've purchased a Curt receiver hitch. Once for a Volvo s60 and now a Mazda 3. Both times it's been very easy to buy and the installation was a breeze. The dealerships said that the hitch fit and all holes matched perfectly. Curt will be my goto receiver in the future.

Great experience - all the pieces were there, all of them fit, everything went just as it was supposed to fit - best aftermarket accessory i've purchased. great price too. the box had a hole in it, but the hitch was only scuffed, so a little touch up paint fixed it - you may want to wrap the hitch arms with packing as they poked through the box.

High quality and looks great on the car. I only gave it 3 stars on ease of install because of the car itself. You definately need 2 people to do it and dropping the exhuast system is a must to get the hitch passed it to the frame.
