My husband installed the receiver hitch and the process went without a hitch. I love the innovative way of getting the screw and washer positioned inside the metal beam using the guide wire. My bike rack slides in without needing force.

Installed on my 2017 Subaru Outback , took 4 hours plus to bolted on , would be easier if the Hitch 1/4 inch longer across for the predrilled holes on flank to line up on center of where it hooked up under my Subaru , plus Video instructions where to find trailer wire is not clear , had to come up with my own idea to pulled it out behind the driver side ..... after all It's a nice looking hitch ..

Everything was as stated. Arrived within a couple of days. I had read a few reviews from folks who installed themselves which helped. A little patience and the right tools and you are good to go. Looks great and fits the car perfect.

Good price, quick shipment. Hitch fits car nicely. Installation went smoothly. The tails on the fishwires could be an inch longer, and one was mangled on first use so a 3rd fishwire in the package might be needed. Youtube installation video for my specific car was very useful.

I'm a fan of Curt hitches and have now purchased three. IF you have the right tools, these are relatively simple to install. Takes about an hour.

Curt 2" receiver for 2017 Subaru Outback

Nice receiver at a great price. Install took about 2 hours in cold weather. Use a step drill to open the access holes instead of elongating the holes into slots!!! The heads are so large making slots is futile! No auto parts or hardware stores had caps to plug the enlarged access holes. Would be great if Curt would supply them!! 1 negative, the 2" hole is about .08" bigger than the ball mount so it fits really sloppy so only 3 stars for quality.

Web site took me right to the hitch I needed after supplying make/model/year of my car. I received the hitch in three days. Perfect fit, strong, sturdy, and priced right. You guys must be popular because I was referred to you by a service manager at a car dealership.

Hi guys, the youtube video is great and it was easier than I thought. I did it by myself without anyone assisting. TIPs: 1) For having the hitch at the right height while fishing the bolts, place the hitch over a toolbox over a 5 gal. plastic bucket. That's almost the exact height to get the bolts and nuts in proper place through the hitch. Once you tighten the first one a little, the second bolt is easier to install. 2) Paint the holes you drilled to avoid rust. Thanks and Enjoy!
