CURT T-Connectors Part #56079 Customer Reviews
Reviewed by Dan B (Norfolk, VA) Reviewed for a 2011 Toyota Avalon — Mar 26, 2016 4:24 AM
Thinking about all the electronics in today's vehicles I did some checking. The electronic box (CURT T-Connector) controls the trailer lights separate from the vehicle's electronic electrical system. It only gets a signal to control the box that controls the trailer lights. What this means, something goes wrong with the trailer lights it does not effect the vehicle lights or electrical system. The install was plug and play, except for hot wire routing. Worth the cost & time!

Haven't attempted to install as yet. Concerned about having to run hot wire from battery the length of the Venza without the use of a lift. But I like Curt products and responded based on other's evaluations because I loved the ease of installing their trailer hitch and expect the same with the CURT T- connectors.

Great accessory to have to complement the Curt tow hitch. Installation is easy, the only thing I don't like is having to run a constant hot wire from the battery.

Everything necessary was provided in package. Most difficult part is running main wire from battery to rear of vehicle without benefit of a lift. Takes much longer than claimed 45 minutes installation time to complete. Quality is good.

This unit is well built, easy to install-you just have to unplug the car plugs and plug the unit in! Hardest part is running the wire back to the battery.

The product works well, for cars with LED tail lights, you will need to run a power wire to the battery so this is not a simple install. Other than that it works very well.

Everything explained on the website worked perfectly and installation went exactly as outlined in the brochure. Thanks PS. Works fine.

Perhaps I didn't do something right. I could no get the connectors to plug into the connectors on my car. Purchased one locally and it went to together.

Don't pay someone almost 200 dollars to wire your vehicle when you can do it for a lot cheaper!! This connector is great, it plugs directly into your existing wiring harness on your vehicle with not figuring out what wire goes to what wire scenario. Very easy installation, only takes about 30 minutes. It wouldn't take that long if you wouldn't have to run the wire to the battery, but very easy installation. I will never pay for someone to wire my vehicle again!!
