I was worried it would need "adjusting" with enlarged holes or need to drill the frame. It was a perfect fit. Removed 4 factory bolts for tow hooks, put hitch up in place replaced with 4 new bolts supplied with hitch. Took about 20 minutes but at least 7 to 10 of those minutes was spent trying to find the correct size socket in my messy toolbox

The large V8 makes this avalanche a bit different from other models. It was not an easy task - took a professional 4+ hours, had to remove the whole front end in order to access the frame; then it was an easy bolt on. The cladding needed to be shaved about 1/8 inch, the fit was that close :). The hitch hangs a couple inches lower than the rear. The guys in the shop did a super job on the install, this was their 1st Curt (they hang a lot hitches on RVs) - They were impressed with how well/cool

The hitch fit perfectly in the existing tow hook mounting holes with the longer bolts provided. This was a very quick and easy install with NO trimming on my bumper trim required. Receiver tube could extend a little further because I installed a winch on a cradle mount that fits close to the bumper - it fits but tight.

Spent about 3 hours getting it all lined up and torqued down correctly. Fits perfectly. Did not have to trim any plastic faring or modify anything. If you need a front trailer hitch this is a good one. I will use it to move my 22 foot fishing boat into and out of its boat shed.

Install would have been a breeze had I not needed to remove my brush guard. The hitch would not mount until I removed some of the brush guards bolts in the frame. . .which took at least an hour. Otherwise, it fit perfectly w/o any additional drilling.

Would have been very easy to install but the flange on the passenger side of truck was off and had to grind between 1/8 & 1/16 of an inch off. Would definitely recommend this product. Looks great on truck.

This is a quality item along with another CURT item I bought. I like having this up front where I can use the same winch on front for the back of the truck also. I put a Chevy bow-tie in it while it is not occupied with anything. Looks great. I am well pleased with this product.
