CURT Front Mount Trailer Hitches Part #31023 Customer Reviews
Reviewed by David B (Columbia, SC) Reviewed for a 2012 Chevy Silverado — Feb 04, 2015 5:10 PM
Great price. Can't go wrong with a Curt receiver. I've had them on every utility vehicle I've ever owned. Instructions were straight forward and easy to understand. Installed by myself in less than an hour. Spacing between the frame and the receiver looked a little off, but I'm sure it will perform nicely.

I have a 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4, WT package. I received the hitch quickly, no issues. The instructions were simple and clear. I did use an impact on some of the bolts, access would have been difficult and the installation lengthy without air tools. As it was, it only took a couple of hours to get it installed by myself. Fit was perfect, as it says in the instructions you have to cut the lower air dam. It does hang low, I've scraped it on some water bars getting to job sites.

the hitch arrived on schedule and in very good condition. It took me appx. 1 hour to install. everything lined up, just had to cut a small opening in the air dam.

Nice Hitch, shipping was quick. Installation was a little harder than reviews. Took about an hour but awkward laying on the ground. Heavy to hold over your head. Hitch came with no hardware and took Four days to find out that you used original hardware.

Both front hitch units work great. The GMC was the no mod req, But the Tundra when the hitch is in place the splash pan can't be removed to get to the eng oil filter. Allow a little extra time and cut section out and weld on some tabs,I used rev-nuts in the pan section for a sano-inst'l. The trailer push for ease of parking is great. Good luck from AZ.

came extremely fast, was easy to install, and seems to be heavy duty. it carries my 7'4" snow bear plow with ease and is hardly noticeable on the front of the truck
