CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Made in the USA

Reviewed By Kanji K (MALDEN, MA) Reviewed for a 2004 Acura TL —3/22/2016 8:26 PM

I try everything I can to support made in the USA & Japan; forget China. I bought this for my 04 TL. Installation can be done by a DIYer, except you need a drill & bit up to 1/2". Jacking up is not necessary. Take the bumper cover & impact absorber (the funny-shaped plastic-like part) off to install. I coated all hardware with sealant to prevent rust and bought stainless steel nuts. The only issue is that the receptacle is 1-1/4" but 2" adapter is available by Curt.

Hitch is a great unobtrusive design. Well manufactured and an excellent fit. Installation was straightforward. Highly recommend DrawTite hitches for their value and ease of installation.

Looking foward to to towing somthing! Anything!

Reviewed By Henry V (KISSIMMEE, FL) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Colorado —9/23/2016 7:04 AM

The installation was fairly simple, but you'll need an impact driver. On the 2016 Chevy Colorado, there is a brace between the spare tire that connect to the factory installed hitch and the frame it requires 4 bolts. You'll have to make a choice because this hitch does not have the two holes for the bolts that connect to the brace. No biggie though.
