Curt Trailer Hitch for 2004 BMW 325i Wagon

Reviewed By Leland M (Alamo, CA) Reviewed for a 2004 BMW 3-Series —8/1/2017 8:00 PM

Installation was straightforward. I would suggest removing any of the padding (asphalt type material in the bottom of the tire well) that interferes with the inside brackets to make torquing of the hardware more accurate. Access to the nuts on the rear vertical portion of the tire well is difficult and getting a torque wrench on them near impossible with out removing the bumper cover. Do recheck the tightness of the bolts periodically as stated in the instructions.

hitch review

It is easy to put on and take off. It puts my trailer up where it is level when it is being pulled and making it so that the tongue weight is more balanced. It does the job that we needed to have done. It fits more the real style of my car which really isn't the best for pulling a trailer.

well made, some oversites

Reviewed By William M (STATEN ISLAND, NY) Reviewed for a 2015 Honda CR-V —8/18/2017 10:52 PM

This is a well made product with some simple to fix minor flaws. For one, the instruction do not make it clear that the connections in the car are under the upper trim panel. I found a better diagram on a Honda forum. More relevant is the inline fuse. The arrangement places the fuse behind all the plastic panels, which would require removing them to change a fuse. I replaced Curt's wire extension with one about 30cm longer, which brought the fuse into the spare tire well.
