Curt Hitches on 2012 Enclave, and Ford Explorer

Reviewed By New C (Willis, TX) Reviewed for a 2012 Buick Enclave —6/19/2015 7:59 AM

I have been installing after market accessories for 48 years, these are among the best I have installed, on the Enclave they have an innovative way of using a wire with a coiled end to fish a carriage bolt up through a small hole to mount the hitch. Both of the hitches went super smooth, the hardest thing was drilling 2 holes for the Explorer.

The "fishing line", included in the parts bag, for installation of the bolts was clever and worked easily.

It's a fairly sturdy piece of steel, perfect fit

Reviewed By Mathew F (PALATKA, FL) Reviewed for a 2013 Dodge Challenger —8/17/2017 6:24 AM

2013 Challenger R/T Classic with aftermarket exhaust. Perfect fit. You can do it by yourself but it's beneficial to have a second person to help hold the hitch up while you get a bolt or two started. The face of the receiver sits about 8" inward from the outer edge of the rear bumper so you need a fairly long (and tall) ball mount (I got a 5 1/4" x 10"). I wish the safety chain loops were made from flat bar as these look like they'd bend if the safety chains were ever really "used".
