trailer hitch install

It should b mentioned that the mounting hole for the unit in the frame should be cleaned out with a thread tap, we would not have been able to complete this install without tapping out nuts mounted inside the frame!

Just what I needed

Reviewed By Albert H (BISCAYNE PARK, FL) Reviewed for a 2012 Cadillac SRX —5/3/2014 11:10 AM

Needed a hitch for the Cadillac to use as a bike-rack carrier. Installed in about 45 minutes by myself, yes it can be done. Fit perfect. Only needed to buy a deep socket to reach a factory nut in the spacers.

Curt Q25 (Ford Puck) Additional tools needed for installation

Reviewed By Ronald M (Camas, WA) Reviewed for a 2016 Ford F-250 —11/1/2017 12:49 PM

Excellent hitch and not overly challenging to install after locating all of the required tools. One item that needs to be clarified in the listing details, is that a 100 ft/# torque wrench is required to assemble the head to the legs. Adjusting the pucks was also a little tricky as the mounting bolts are course thread instead of fine thread. Another set of cotter pins would also be nice as the ones provided were already spread out and it was frustrating to get them straightened for reuse.
