2016 Impala hitch

Reviewed By Terry B (ALEXANDRIA, MN) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Impala —1/18/2017 11:21 AM

This is the third hitch I have purchased from Curt. All have been easy to install and very good quality. The only bad thing on the install was getting the forward mount location attached in my cramped garage in below zero temps with only a trouble light.I put a hitch on all my vehicles as a towing point or recovery point.

Mounting hitch

Reviewed By Howard L (Port Richey, FL) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Silverado —1/18/2017 5:04 AM

I do not have access to a lift so I had to preform the installation while the vehicle was on the ground. The instructions were very clear but I opted to drill and tap the frame which to me is much easer than fishing the nuts and washer thru the frame.(I used grade 5 bolts & I had the bit and tap).

decent price for hidden hitch with higher capacity

Reviewed By Ben M (Carmichael, CA) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Colorado —12/20/2016 5:23 PM

For model 76004, square tube with higher capacity. You can install it yourself, kinda, but you really need help to put it into position. The Colorado step bumper and bumper support are light weight and can be handled alone but the new hitch cannot. Plus it has a very tight fit around the frame rails and must be pushed on with some force or even with a mallet. The fit on mine was just right. The square tube is hidden behind the step bumper. Use 1/2" drive socket & wrench as torque is 100 ft lbs.
