"Follow the instructions, though it is vague on the fish wire technique, but the important step of lowering the exhaust is a big help. The 6 rubber isolatiors on the Forester do make it a fairly easy task. There is a direct wire plug-in trailer connector made by Curt but unfortunately not sold by AutoAnything.
Another tip for the Forester is that in the hatch storage, remove the spare tire floor panel and then the left and right stuffer blocks that are held in by plastic rivets - they will pop out with some effort. Under the stuffer blocks are holes in the floor panel with circular tape that gives access to the chassis where the hitch mount bolts are located. This is a big help if you have difficulty fishing the bolts into the chassis hole from under the vehicle.
The hitch is a real nice fit. Looks great on the vehicle." —Robert G from Baton Rouge, LA bought a CURT Receiver Hitches for a 2012 Chevy Silverado.
"I haven't towed anything yet, but the hitch went on in about an hour using hand tools. Looks good. A guy at work went to a 5th-wheel setup, and says he can give me a couple of ball mounts free, just to get them out of his garage." —John S from Whitmore Lake, MI bought a Draw-Tite Receiver Hitches for a 2012 Chevy Silverado.
"I got my trailer hitch in record time from Autoanything as always. Installation took about an hour. Real happy with with everthing." —Dale F from Fayetteville, PA bought a Draw-Tite Receiver Hitches for a 2012 Chevy Silverado.

Due to previous owner pulling way more than he should have!! Had a hard time getting it lined up,
But all went smoothly in the end! Great Hitch, Guys at CURT HAVE IT TOGETHER!!!

"I like everything about the hitch except the four metal pieces that the carriage bolts went through were not long enough to hit the frame rail. This is crucial for tightening properly." —James V from Sharpsville, IN bought a Reese Receiver Hitches for a 2012 Chevy Silverado.
"Everything looked OK upon receipt , although the shipping carton was in poor shape .During the instalation we had trouble aligning the mounting holes which turned out to be caused by a bent "wing". After exerting maximum push, shove, and prying we were able to allign the holes and complete the instalation. Other than that, no problem." —John P from Hilton, NY bought a CURT Receiver Hitches for a 2012 Chevy Silverado, 1500.
