Excellent value

This is a very well made product. The rounded design saves your shins should you run into it while working around the tailgate. The only aside is a slight rattle after installation however a few loops of duct tape on the shaft took care of that. Very satisfied!

Reese Hitch Step

Reviewed By Raymond L (LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ) Reviewed for a 2018 Chevy Silverado —1/17/2018 7:17 AM

The hitch step was a snap to install and works just as anticipated. My wife is "vertically challenged" [don't call her short] and could not reach the back door on the camper shell from the ground. The hitch step lets her reach the door and close it with ease.

Solid, sharp-looking step

Reviewed By Matt M (Belfair, WA) Reviewed for a 2008 Chevy Silverado —11/13/2017 8:53 AM

The step itself is well-made, good looking and quite solid. The sole drawback is the "anti-rattle system" which consists of a screw down plate that holds the step tight in the hitch receiver. The threaded rod included was too short to grab and I had to remove the rubberized tip that helped the metal plate keep the step snug. It worked ok in the end, but was clearly not a focus of the design. Overall, the step itself is great. Just FYI: the lower step is 6" below the hitch receiver.
