1997 Chevy Venture hitch

Reviewed By Wayne K (Eagle River, WI) Reviewed for a 1997 Chevy Venture —4/12/2012 10:03 AM

The hitch is very high quality and looks good on the van. Only thing you see is the receiver hole and not the whole hitch. Only had to drill 2 additional holes but that was expected according to the instructions. I used these hitchs on other cars and SUV's and never had a problem with things lining up.

Reese 2" Class III Hitch- DIY Install

Reviewed By Dan S (Portland, OR) Reviewed for a 2003 Chevy Venture —4/19/2014 6:17 AM

Plus: High quality materials with good finish. All parts and accessories present. No mods to the hitch were required to install. Minus: Install directions were short on details which could be a challenge for novice DIY person. Result was to increase the time of install, maybe 2X. Freelance mods to air suspension compressor bracket required. Other Observation: Branding on main hitch structure is "Draw-Tite" not Reese. Bottom Line: Happy with product and can recommend for intermediate DIY.

Looking foward to to towing somthing! Anything!

Reviewed By Henry V (KISSIMMEE, FL) Reviewed for a 2016 Chevy Colorado —9/23/2016 7:04 AM

The installation was fairly simple, but you'll need an impact driver. On the 2016 Chevy Colorado, there is a brace between the spare tire that connect to the factory installed hitch and the frame it requires 4 bolts. You'll have to make a choice because this hitch does not have the two holes for the bolts that connect to the brace. No biggie though.
