CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Sebring Convertible 3.5

Reviewed By PATRICK B (FORT WAYNE, IN) Reviewed for a 2008 Chrysler Sebring —3/29/2016 5:08 AM

This hitch fits the Limited model with the 3.5 Engine. The Receiver is so far under the car that the Drawbar hits the Valance Panel if you use anything but a straight Drawbar. A straight Drawbar sets the Ball so low it's worthless. I had to Grind about 3/4" off the Ball Mounting Plate to keep it from hitting. They should have Extended the Receiver back 1" to alleviate this prodlem. You shouldn't have to modify a New Product to fit.

One of the best if not the best hitches made. Have had drawtite on several other vehicles and keep coming back. I highly recommend this hitch for any applications!!!

Looking foward to to towing somthing! Anything!

The installation was fairly simple, but you'll need an impact driver. On the 2016 Chevy Colorado, there is a brace between the spare tire that connect to the factory installed hitch and the frame it requires 4 bolts. You'll have to make a choice because this hitch does not have the two holes for the bolts that connect to the brace. No biggie though.
