Did not have to remove the spare tire. Once I figured out the pull wire and the bolt-----It actually worked and went very smoothly. Bluffton, SC

Hitch looks good. Seems sturdy. Installation is rather difficult with just one person. Two of the bolts have to be threaded through frame tubing right behind spare tire. Wire provided works fine but u need something to be able to let the bolts go back into tubing as hitch has to be right against tubing before u can pull the bolts through holes on hitch. If I had an extra pair of hands I could have just pulled bolts through during initial threading. Best advice: have another person to hold hitch in place while you pull the bolts through tubing and holes on hitch in one step rather than thread bolts then try to get bolts through afterwords.

This hitch mounts well but is way to low. You need to raise it at least three inches So the air dam hides the cross bar. All you need to do is cut out a square in the plastic air dam. If you check you will see there is a bolt on each side of the front so it won't weaken it, but it will look much better and it won't eat up your ground clearance. It needs about three inches or the with of the air dam taken out of the side brackets. Vincent
