CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

good hitch

Overall construction is very good but really extreme overkill for 2015 Subaru WRX installation. Smaller fasteners (7/16) would be fine as the 1/2" bolts required a small amount of clearancing. Removing the mufflers is easier than working around a dropped system. The instructions are flawless along with the wire fish method. Note: the "plug" in rear fascia panel is for the euro rear fog light.

Hard install, but very sturdy.

I installed this with my friend and it was pretty difficult. Make sure you jack up the front end of your vehicle and it will make it much easier. If you have access to a lift, even better. The hitch is pretty heavy so you will definitely need an extra set of hands to lift it and put it in place. Once we finally got it in it was well worth it. Had between 75 to 250 lbs on it for 2 weeks straight and it never budged. Came with a free hitch cover too!

The pin was too short and would not protrude far enough through the receiver to allow the lock that was provided to be able to function. I contacted the vendor and they flippantly commented that if I had a newer vehicle then the pin would not work and I could buy another, longer, pin from them. This is not full disclosure advertising.
