Fits well but...

Fits well except that I spent more time putting two bolts in than the rest of the installation combined. Two nuts need to ben installed along with a 1/4" rectangular washer inside the a metal channel (unibody). There is a long flexible long tang attached to the nuts to help in this effort but one is not quite long enough and there is nothing to aid with washers. I attached a wire to one to help fish one of the washers.

Satisfied

I bought the hitch for my 2001 Taurus for a bike carrier. It went on easily, but the directions were a bit confusing as the same receiver is used on several Ford models. It took as long to clean the shipping labels off it as it did to install it.

Looking foward to to towing somthing! Anything!

The installation was fairly simple, but you'll need an impact driver. On the 2016 Chevy Colorado, there is a brace between the spare tire that connect to the factory installed hitch and the frame it requires 4 bolts. You'll have to make a choice because this hitch does not have the two holes for the bolts that connect to the brace. No biggie though.
