CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Noobie installs hitch

Reviewed By Carl S (Bay City, TX) Reviewed for a 2010 Honda CR-V —10/22/2013 4:30 AM

I am a noobie at installing hitches with minimal tools. I was intimidated, but I plunged ahead. While I could not do the install in the time given in the instructions, I got it done. The hitch was great looking, installed as per the instructions and now that I have done one and used it, I highly recommend this hitch. You will not be disappointed by Curt hitches.

2013 CR-V Draw-Tite II Install

Reviewed By David H (Rio Vista, CA) Reviewed for a 2013 Honda CR-V —4/5/2015 5:18 AM

Great looking receiver....wife even likes it. Ordered the medium duty 1.25" model to use for carrying a bike rack. Took about 1.5 hrs to install with a friend who had a torque wrench. Decided to cut the rear shroud access hole without removing it from car and a good box cutter was all I needed for that. Was able to wrestle muffler from hangers without any tools but a liberal spraying of WD-40 is essential. Don't forget to torque bolts to proper specs...38 lbs was much tighter than I thought.

CURT Trailer Ball Reviews

Curt Custom 1" Raised Trailer Ball

Reviewed By David S (Fairmont, WV) Reviewed for a 2003 Honda CR-V —11/29/2013 3:22 AM

With the twice a month of trailering I do, considering the weight of the trailer, and the mountains that I travel on the roads, I wanted just the right height for optimum trailer performance. After trying ball receivers of different heights, the salesperson at AutoAnything suggested that I try a 1" raised ball, which gave me just the right trailer height that was in between the normal receiver heights. That "exact" trailer height gave me the optimum performance that wanted.
