Installation is fast and foolproof, and took just a few minutes. Instructions for access to the taillight wiring were not exactly right for our exact model, but it wasn't hard to figure out. It's worth the price to not have to cut into factory wiring; just insert a few connectors, route the wires, and it's done. The connector stows in the spare tire compartment and routes out the trunk lid when used. A nice bonus is the overload protection, so if your trailer wiring has a problem, you won't blow out the car's fuses or have a fire hazard; that alone is worth the price.
