Good value

Reviewed By RICHARD D (New Port Richey, FL) Reviewed for a 2009 Hyundai Elantra —1/11/2012 2:34 PM

The hitch appears to offer a good value and was easy to install on a 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring. I had to make a minor adjustment since the hitch would not fit on to the frame rails. After spreading the hitch by holding it in a vise and bending the mounting plates a little( about 1/4in) it fitted really easily. A couple of installation tips. 1) pre-install the 4 mounting bolts in their tapped holes to clear out the paint and undercoating. Just run them in and out. Makes the bolts easier to start when holding the hitch in place. 2) Measure the distance to the outside of the frame rails and compare with the measurement on the hitch to ensure that it will fit. If a bit too tight, bend the hitch brackets a bit. Overall an easy install.

This hunk of metal works great!

Reviewed By Cam J (MOBILE, AL) Reviewed for a 2014 Hyundai Elantra —12/22/2016 6:46 AM

I use this for a bike rack on my sedan; I have no intention of towing. The installation instructions were good enough but I had trouble with the module part - I bored the hold (as instructed), but it didn't fit. I had to pull the module down on one end as far as I could without bending the components of the module and wedge the hitch in place. Also, the hitch touches the muffler a bit, so occasionally I'll hear a faint buzz.

Installation went well had no issues even doing it by myself

Reviewed By Ed D (Parma, OH) Reviewed for a 2014 Hyundai Elantra —7/12/2014 4:55 AM

Had a little hesitation in ordering this because my Hyundai Elantra is a new model for 2014 (Sport), but this Hidden Hitch installation went just fine. I had to do it by myself because no help was available on the day it arrived. I did use a Harbor Freight rolling stool to hold up one end while I worked on the other end. The hitch/receiver is really heavy for one person to hold up(good in my opinion). I also purchased the plug in wiring kit, all the connectors matched the Hyundai wiring.
