Trimax RAZOR XTR Aluminum Adjustable Hitch Ball Mount Reviews

more than "just a hitch"

Reviewed By lawrence b (Landrum, SC) Reviewed for a 2009 Infiniti G37 —2/28/2014 8:50 AM

amazing hitch. I think the tow weight is 10k. Its like a work of art. cant tell from the pic but it has a sq drive on the tops of the balls to attach, clever, you could also just buy a single ball and install. I got the 6 inch it has 4 heights. it comes with a receiver lock keyed the same as the height adjust. the good ,round barrel type keys(4)only a 1/4 turn to open. trimax also makes stainless steel receiver locks and hitch locks both in a set. trimax people are great. highly recommend.

Take a good hard look at the Draw Tite model.

Reviewed By David P (BYRON CENTER, MI) Reviewed for a 2013 Nissan Cube —9/25/2016 6:35 PM

Cross tubes have 1/2" holes in both ends that allow significant water to collect in tubes which promotes rusting from inside out. If rod for rubber muffler mount isn't welded in proper alignment it is very difficult to reattach the muffler mount. Suggested instruction to drill out/enlarge frame hole is unnecessarily difficult for amateur - 'slotting' the hole with a hacksaw blade in holder works well then bend slotted 'tab' over with long punch.

Great Product and Easy install

Reviewed By John S (COMMACK, NY) Reviewed for a 2017 Acura RDX —9/25/2016 5:54 AM

The hitch was very easy to install alone (20mins). The mounting holes and hardware lined up perfectly on the first try and threaded in with no problem. I actually slid the shipping box under the truck to brace the hitch for me while I installed the hardware. It was the perfect height to hold up the hitch as I worked (necessity is the mother of invention). My only gripe is that on my truck, the lower bumper rests on top of the receiver causing a slight arc. It's pretty subtle and looks fine.
