The directions for installation were not very clear. Had to buy a $35 tree bit to bore a hole in the car frame for installation. Getting the bolts into the frame was tricky also. Like that the hitch receiver does not stick out behind the car to hit your leg on! Overall, it looks good and functions well. We thought it was a little expensive but hope it holds up over the years and miles as we travel.

Good product - difficult install

The basic connectors are simple, BUT then the directions tell you to run a wire from the trunk to the battery in the engine compartment! This is next to impossible without disassembling the car. No easily accessible conduit passages into the engine compartment. But piecing together info from Volvo forums, you learn how to tap into one of those fuse panels right there in the trunk by the left (driver side) tail light. Once I learned that, I was finished in 15 min. I suggest Kurt rewrite instr
