Smittybilt Jeep Receiver Hitch Reviews

Good hitch. photos keep switching sides. Short one 16mm bolt.

Well built hitch. photos show left side one step, then still same step show right side of hitch. inside bolts have to be installed nut-end out because of gas tank. No explanation what to do with larger bolts. One nut short, not available at any local hardware. Found 17mm pinch nut, unknown hardness. Installation is generally not highly technical, but it is the little nusiance things that make it a 4-hour and one trip to town job.

CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Good receiver. Solid build.

Reviewed By Frank R (Dansville, NY) Reviewed for a 2016 Jeep Renegade —12/27/2016 5:37 PM

This receiver is a little harder to install on my Jeep Renegade than a similar Curt receiver that I installed on my Subaru Forester. There is a tighter working area on the Jeep Renegade. It is somewhat of a misnomer to say that no drilling is required. I found that it actually worked better to drill the access hole larger rather than using a grinder for that purpose. Plan on longer than an hour for the install.

Jeep hitch

Wanted a hitch to haul a bike rack or light trailer. Priced right, easy to install and came with a wiring kit that also was easy to install. Arrived quick even with Christmas shipping volumes.
