Smittybilt Jeep Receiver Hitch Reviews

Smittybilt Jeep Receiver

Reviewed By Jimmy C (FREDERICKSBURG, VA) Reviewed for a 2013 Jeep Wrangler —2/17/2015 1:43 PM

The receiver is a great buy. Total installation takes about 10 minutes. Though the product specs sites the nuts are welded in place, they are not. Not really a big deal as you can either super glue them or tape them in place as I did to hold them in place as you start to thread the bolts. Overall a great product.

CURT T-Connectors Reviews

Easy installation but could be better

Reviewed By Mark C (BURBANK, CA) Reviewed for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler —8/20/2014 10:45 AM

These could not be easier to install--just unplug your current tail light and insert this unit between the tail light and the original connector. My only real gripe is that the wiring is not protected in any way. Since the wires will have to go through a body panel and out to the hitch, they will be subject to wear. I purchased some half-inch "split loom tubing" to protect the wiring along its route. Also, it you have the Smittybilt hitch, the 4-pin end will not fit in the slot provided.
