CURT T-Connectors Reviews

Easy installation but could be better

Reviewed By Mark C (BURBANK, CA) Reviewed for a 2014 Jeep Wrangler —8/20/2014 10:45 AM

These could not be easier to install--just unplug your current tail light and insert this unit between the tail light and the original connector. My only real gripe is that the wiring is not protected in any way. Since the wires will have to go through a body panel and out to the hitch, they will be subject to wear. I purchased some half-inch "split loom tubing" to protect the wiring along its route. Also, it you have the Smittybilt hitch, the 4-pin end will not fit in the slot provided.

First time trailering

Reviewed By Mark L (BELLAIRE, TX) Reviewed for a 2013 Ford Expedition —6/4/2014 9:25 PM

I needed to rent a trailer to move some furniture from NY to Texas. My vehicle, 2013 Ford Expedition, came with the HD towing package; but did not come with the hitch ball and holder. I decided I wanted the type of ball that was welded rather than bolted to the ball holder (one less thing to worry about coming loose). I identified the model number of the exact Curt ball holder and then Googled it and AutoAnything came up with the exact item at a good price. It arrived in two days.
