CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Much more solid built and good looking vs. Draw-Tite

Reviewed By Vu N (RENO, NV) Reviewed for a 2012 Mazda 5 —7/4/2016 10:20 PM

I chose the Curt hitch over the Draw-Tite unit simply because they look more heavy-duty and solidly built. The install on the Mazda 5 was more difficult than anticipated though. The instructions were excellent but the cutting of the heat shield was a pain.

Fit like a charm, now I can go biking again.

Reviewed By Gregory B (SAINT LOUIS, MO) Reviewed for a 2013 Mazda 5 —1/25/2016 9:48 AM

Have been using Draw-Tite hitches in the past, I did not expect any problems. After reading some of the other reviews, I decided to use a 1 1/4 hole saw to make the access hole in the body rail. It made it so much easier for the bolt installation.Everything else went as per the instructions. Turned out as expected and very satisfied.

Just what I was looking for

Reviewed By Eric S (KANSAS CITY, MO) Reviewed for a 2008 Mazda 5 —1/7/2016 10:28 AM

I knew that this hitch would require drilling on my vehicle, but it was more difficult than I anticipated, and I needed to buy a fairly expensive drill bit to get the job done. Other than that, it's all great so far.
