CURT Trailer Hitches Reviews

Curt hitch on 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander

Reviewed By Rawle F (Apple Valley, MN) Reviewed for a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander —5/10/2011 8:38 PM

Very sturdy, great craftsmanship. Surprised at the gauge (thickness) of the steel, but then again it's my first hitch. Thought I could install it myself but realized I needed another pair of hands and other tools. So I took it to the local auto shop. Even then, the cost of the hitch at AA plus 1 hr labor (although it took about 30 mins) was cheaper than if I got it at the Mitsu dealership (or the local auto shop's brand with free install). So far used it with a bike rack but expect the trailer later on. With weight it drops kinda low on the Outlander but I may install an air suspension kit to mitigate.

CURT T-Connectors Reviews

Quick, Easy installation. Do it Yourself!

Reviewed By Dave K (Stockholm, NJ) Reviewed for a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander —5/20/2015 5:54 AM

I got a quote from someone to install this T-connector (and my hitch) for about $275. I figured I would try to do it myself (no previous experience doing any wiring installations) and it was a breeze! Installing this T-connector took about 75 minutes. It could probably be done in 40 minutes but since I'm a novice I really took my time (especially when running the battery wire to the front of the vehicle). Great product, easy installation. I'd definitely recommend the CURT brand.

Mitsubishi Outlander

good product easy to install for people with a little bit of experience, instruction made sense although it doesn't tell you about all the screws & pins that you have to take out, in order to get the parts out to finish the job.Overall I'm pretty happy with the product.
