2009 Maxima not "bolt-on" simple

Reviewed By David N (Belton, MO) Reviewed for a 2009 Nissan Maxima —3/20/2012 5:54 AM

As my bro-in-law says "nothing advertised as "bolt-on" is ever easy." Quick delivery and well packed. Installation was an issue. Luckily my brother-in-law is a mechanic and has a large collection of impact wrenches and power saws. For my 2009 Maxima, the holes in the frame for the bolt to hang were all too small. therefore I could not feed inside the bracket and bolt via fishwire. We had to use an impact saw to cut a larger opening for the VERY large bolt head and bracket to feed inside the frame. The heat shields also had to be removed and "rigged" back into their approximate place. Took us about 90 minutes. Barring installation, it works great.

Hitch for my 01 Maxima

Reviewed By Francis S (Winchester, KY) Reviewed for a 2001 Nissan Maxima —7/11/2016 1:29 AM

I've had a positive prior experience using this hitch on my previous car, a 2001 Maxima, which is the reason why I bought this hitch for current car, also a 2001 Maxima.

Decent Hitch but work required to mount

Reviewed By Taad J (Fountain Hills, AZ) Reviewed for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma —6/9/2017 8:16 AM

This bolt on receiver wasn't quite bolt on;I had to enlarge the slotted bolt holes inward a bit, because my bumper holes were 8" on center. The rear small bolts don't line up with any place you could effectively drill and bolt to on the 06 Toyota Tacoma bumper. The two large grade 8 bolts do the job well though, sucking the hitch up to the bumper plate very tightly. This hitch will do its job just fine.
