CURT Weight Distribution System Reviews

works for me

Reviewed By David B (Tucson, AZ) Reviewed for a 2008 Porsche Cayman —10/3/2014 10:58 AM

Instructions a little unclear, but I called Curt and they quickly answered my question. This hitch was recommended to me by the Jeep dealer as a solution to allow me to tow 3,500lbs instead of the 2,000 lbs, that my 2012 Jeep Rubicon would normally be able to tow. I used the Curt W.D.S. to tow my race car at freeway speed and I could hardly tell I was towing anything.

CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Curt hitch

The directions for installation were not very clear. Had to buy a $35 tree bit to bore a hole in the car frame for installation. Getting the bolts into the frame was tricky also. Like that the hitch receiver does not stick out behind the car to hit your leg on! Overall, it looks good and functions well. We thought it was a little expensive but hope it holds up over the years and miles as we travel.

Smitty Step

Well built cast-iron step really gives a boost & makes some intimidating protection for "tail-gators" who ride on your trailer hitch.
