Curt Hitch

Reviewed By John B (Ontario, OH) Reviewed for a 2005 Saturn Ion —6/5/2012 4:55 PM

The Curt Hitch arrived quickly and in good condition. I was/am happy with the quality of the hitch. When I called in to the company and asked about the installation of the hitch, the operator told me the installation would be/is simple and wouldnt take longer than 45 minutes in my drive way. This statment couldnt have been farther from the truth. He told me I might have to enlarge a couple of existing holes, but then it was a simple matter of twisting nuts on bolts. My Saturn Ion had no pre-existing holes in the I-beam behind my bumper or in the frame. I had to take my car to 3 garages before I found a place that would install an after market hitch (that they didnt sell) on my car. It ended up taking 2 professionals over an hour to install my hitch, which of course I had to pay for. I would do business with AutoAnything again, but I will not trust their phone operator again. I would do a fair amount of prior research before making any purchases from them (good idea anyway).

Better than expected

from reading past reviews I was concerned about the shipping but the package was in perfect condition with no damage. The hitch itself is easy to install but the rails are time consuming. Haven't pulled my coach yet but the hitch seems solid and simple to use.
