CURT Receiver Hitches Reviews

Great, but a pain to install

Reviewed By Brian W (HELLERTOWN, PA) Reviewed for a 2015 Subaru Outback —7/12/2016 8:00 AM

I do a good amount of my own auto work and this was definitely not hard, but a challenge. Took me about 3 hours, plus a 30 min. drive to HW store to get some additional tools. Be aware you expand a hole to fit a bolt inside to thread it through the hole. You need a metal file or something. I tried a dremel and ultimately the file worked best. Harder work, but easier and cleaner. Calls for a 17/32 drillbit (good luck, 1/2 inch worked fine).

Curt T-Connector

Reviewed By John P (MILWAUKIE, OR) Reviewed for a 2016 Subaru Outback —7/5/2016 8:49 PM

We purchased the T-Connector for our 2016 Subaru Outback. The product is easy to install by removing some trunk trim to access the factory trailering connector and they just snap together. We have already used the connector for trailering and it works great. Just as good as the factory harness at a fraction of the cost.

Fit perfectly, looks like a factory fit. Works easily with the bike rack I got (Yakima Hold-up). All tools included except for the hole-cutter (and drill to use it) and a torque wrench. Of note: the "fishing wires" to pul the bolts through were included.
