Curt class III hitch for 2015 Subaru Outback

Reviewed By Richard C (Ocala, FL) Reviewed for a 2015 Subaru Outback —4/15/2016 8:04 AM

The hitch is well made and not to difficult to install BUT the directions were not exactly correct. They say to drop the muffler and work around it, it would have been simpler to just remove the 2 bolts and remove it till finished. They give you a templet to cut the heat shield, this is wrong, you don't need to remove that much of it, cut it last instead of first, make it fit around the hitch. And the holes they say to expand need to be a lot bigger. You can get the spacers in but not the bolts.

Now that was easy!

The 1 1/8" hole was the only challenge. Overall, it was a snap. You should have mechanical aptitude in all fairness. Looks better than most that I've seen on other Outbacks.

Well built, overly easy to install hitch

Reviewed By Mitchell K (MIDDLETOWN, MD) Reviewed for a 2005 Subaru Outback —12/8/2015 4:52 PM

All this install required was the lowering of the exhaust and five bolts installed from hitch to the vehicle. Took under an hour.
